Priced like any other infantry unit, given decent weapons, and AT capabilities (unlike the Bersaglieri). The Granatieri have similar stats as the Rangers. Do not expect this unit to hold out against unbelievable odds. The word Granatieri literally means "grenadiers."

The Granatieri were trained differently than the basic infantry within the Italian Army since they were professional soldiers. The Granatieri were slow on foot due to the equipment they carried, however since they were motorized infantry they always had troop transports to bring them to the location where they were needed. The Granatieri proved effective during the war, but the customs didn't remain after Fascist Italy's downfall.

Prior to World War II, Italy utilized very dated customs when it came to land-based warfare; the Bersaglieri were an example of that. They excelled in battles against infantry (due to their rigorous training) but were not versatile, also they were lightly armed and armored to provide maximum mobility, as they were used for mountain duties as well - this made them conventionally useless against motorized or mechanized infantry and other armored opponents. These and other problems later forced Italy to use German customs and equipment, thus the Granatieri were born.

Pros & Cons Edit

+Italien troops with german equipment, high dps against all targets.
